Learning is, for some, both a pleasure in itself and can also, under certain premises, act as a preparatory stage for competitions. In this sense, the Mental Athlete project is the result of my study habits and motivated by the desire to organize ideas to be applied systematically in learning activities and preparation for public exams.
Evaluating variables such as time until the exams, content covered, evaluation requirements, as well as reviewing the work plan are essential to maintain a good pace of preparation without losing focus on approval.
Setting a plan and fulfilling tasks to the best of one’s ability. Only with work discipline is it possible to have a concrete notion of what works or doesn’t work. It’s in applied work that things happen.
Using effective techniques for understanding and retaining knowledge is crucial. Applying strategies such as spaced repetition, flashcards, memory palace method, and elaboration, among others, are essential for a more efficient and productive preparation.
For things to flow smoothly, organization must be treated as your superpower, a power that grows with cycles of execution and review at well-established times and with a specific routine. With each new cycle comes improvement.
“Studying with motivation enhances content assimilation and makes study hours more enjoyable. However, relying solely on passive motivation leaves the effectiveness of study sessions to chance. Therefore, incorporating self-motivation techniques, even if challenging for some, proves to be a powerful tactic for content retention.
